Founder & CEO – IDR Research and Development Private Limited

IDR Research and Development Pvt. Ltd. is an IIT Roorkee–supported pioneering startup specializing in the design and development of indigenous small-sized UAVs (Nano/Micro) for military applications. Established in August 2021, the company has quickly emerged as a leader in the nano UAV technology domain, delivering innovative solutions for modern warfare in non-GPS environments.

IDR is also working on advanced explosive and kamikaze drone technologies to meet emerging battlefield requirements. The mission of the organization is to empower defence forces with in-house developed nano drone solutions for silent intelligence gathering, surveillance, reconnaissance, and tactical operations—thereby safeguarding national security.

Session Overview

The online session was inaugurated by Dean Academics (Noida), Dr. Trapty Agarwal, who welcomed the speaker and participants from various academic disciplines including Science, Engineering, Arts and Humanities, Pharmacy, Agriculture, and Business Management. A total of 214 participants attended the session.

In the first part of the session, Mr. Singh discussed the role of drones in defence systems and the latest drone technologies being developed for strategic and tactical military use. He provided detailed insights into UAV design, operational challenges, and the scope of indigenous development in the defence sector.

In the second part, he shared his startup success story, explaining the journey of IDR from inception to becoming a recognized leader in drone technology. His talk was filled with practical lessons and motivational insights, encouraging students to explore entrepreneurship as a career path.

The session concluded with an engaging Q&A segment, where Mr. Singh answered a wide range of questions from participants, providing clarity and inspiration.
