SERIES ON “ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND INNOVATION AS CAREER OPPORTUNITY”

The session began with the Welcome Speech by Prof. A.K.S. Rawat.

Dr. Vinod Singh, Senior Scientist, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sitapur was the First Guest Speaker who explained various business models based on Rural Based Technology and Agriculture Sector viz., mushroom cultivation, vermicomposting, fish farming and other opportunities. He also explained the various aspects of capital requirement and profit generation related to such business models. He not only motivated the students for rural and agriculture-based business establishments but also discussed concept of cost and profit ratios.

Mr. P.D. Saraswat, Ex-Deputy General Manager, Small Industries Development Bank of India, was the second Guest Speaker of the program. Through his lecture, he motivated the participants for innovation and startup business, and discussed various business opportunities in rural areas. He also discussed the business model based on cow dung and various products made from dungs and their profitability in the Indian and foreign markets. He also discussed the Government policies and Government vision for maintaining the startup ecosystem in Uttar Pradesh.

There were around 155 participants who attended the lecture. Mr. Sapan Asthana, Dean Academics, addressed the session and discussed the importance of such lectures for students. Dr. Vijay Kumar (Convener)presented the vote of thanks. Dr. Himani Kulshrestha, Ms. Sagarika Kabra, Dr. Vikas Shukla, Mr. Deepak Tiwari and other MIIF Team members, as a part ofthe organizing team, lend continuous support to make the event successful.

2nd Lecture:Financial Fundamentals for Startup and Entrepreneurs

The MUIT Incubation and Innovation Foundation (MIIF), under the “Entrepreneurship and Innovation as Career Opportunity”lecture series, organized its 2nd lecture on “Financial Fundamentals for Startup and Entrepreneurs”on 18th November 2021 at 11:00 AM.

The lecture was organized under the guidance of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor (Prof. Bhanu Pratap Singh), Registrar (Prof. Akhand Pratap Singh) and MIIF Manager (Mr. Puneet Pandey).

Mr. Pawan Dhawan (CA) was the first Guest Speaker of the program. He discussed the financial challenges generally faced by startup firms. He also discussed how financial plan should be framed by startup firms for coping up with various financial challenges.

Mr.Tarun Bhatt (CA) was the second Guest Speaker of the event.He explained the process of conversion of idea into business establishments. He discussed the types of firms and their legal liabilities, financial documentations and other requirements.

There were around 154 participants who attended the 2nd lecture. Mr. Sapan Asthana (Dean Academics)presented the concluding remarking and vote of thanks. Mr. Puneet Pandey (Manager -(MIIF), Dr. Vijay Kumar (Convener & Host), Mr. Ankit Srivastava, Ms. Ritika Kaushik, Dr. Himani Kulshrestha, Ms. Sagarika Kabra, Dr. VikasKumar Shukla, and other members of organising team made the event successful with their hard work and excellent coordination.

1st lecture: Entrepreneurship and Innovation as a Career Opportunity

The MUIT Incubation and Innovation Foundation (MIIF), under the “Entrepreneurship and Innovation as Career Opportunity”lecture series, organized its 1st lecture on the main theme on 1st November 2021 at 01:00 PM.

The lecture series was organized under the guidance of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor (Prof. Bhanu Pratap Singh), Registrar (Prof. Akhand Pratap Singh),MIIF Incharge (Ms. Neha Srivastava) and MIIF Manager (Mr. Puneet Pandey).

Dr. Akhilesh Kumar Mishra, IAS, Special Secretary Transport was the Chief Guest of the program.Through his lecture, Dr. Mishra motivated the participants for innovation, startup business and discussed about how to deal with various challenges that we come across in life. He also discussed the Government policies and vision for maintaining the startup ecosystem in Uttar Pradesh.

Prof. H.K. Dwivedi was the Guest Speaker of the event. He explained the process of conversion of idea into business establishments. He discussed success stories of manystartups such as Probano, Deyhaat and other startup business. He not only motivated the students for business establishments but also discussed the attributes of entrepreneurs, in detail.

There were around 120 participants who attended this lecture. Mr. Sapan Asthana (Dean Academics) presented the concluding remarking and vote of thanks.
