Objective


Maharishi University of Information Technology, Lucknow, in association with the MUIT Incubation & Innovation Foundation (MIIF), successfully organized the Three-Day Capacity Building Programme (CBP) on Enterprise Creation from 23–25 July 2026. Conducted daily from 09:30 AM to 05:00 PM, the programme aimed to strengthen entrepreneurial competencies among faculty members and promote an innovation-driven academic environment.


The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 22 faculty members representing various Schools and Departments of MUIT, providing a collaborative platform for interdisciplinary learning and the exchange of entrepreneurial ideas.

The sessions were facilitated by renowned entrepreneurship experts Mr. Mahendra Kumar Gupta and Ms. Rita Sen Gupta, who shared their expertise in entrepreneurship development, enterprise creation, startup ecosystems, innovation management, business planning, and entrepreneurial motivation. Through expert lectures, case studies, interactive discussions, and experiential learning activities, participants gained practical insights into entrepreneurship and startup development.

Day 1 – Fundamentals of Enterprise Creation


The first day introduced the fundamentals of enterprise creation, opportunity identification, and the role of higher educational institutions in fostering innovation. Interactive sessions, team-building activities, and brainstorming exercises encouraged participants to develop entrepreneurial thinking, leadership, creativity, and communication skills.

Day 2 – Opportunity Identification & Business Ideas


The second day focused on converting innovative ideas into viable business opportunities. Participants explored opportunity identification techniques and participated in a Business Idea Competition, presenting innovative concepts before the resource persons.

The programme also featured the SWCC Activity, which strengthened teamwork, strategic thinking, communication, and collaborative decision-making. A motivational session on Achievement Syndrome highlighted the behavioural traits and leadership qualities essential for entrepreneurial success.

Day 3 – Business Model Canvas & Entrepreneurship Orientation


The final day was dedicated to practical business planning through the Business Model Canvas (BMC) workshop. Participants learned to develop sustainable business models by understanding customer segments, value propositions, revenue streams, key resources, and cost structures.

A dedicated session on Entrepreneurship Orientation Programmes (EOPs) provided guidance on promoting entrepreneurship and innovation among students. The programme concluded with participant presentations that reflected their learning and enhanced understanding of enterprise creation.

The programme concluded with a Valedictory Session, followed by the distribution of participation certificates and a vote of thanks. Participants highly appreciated the practical learning approach, interactive sessions, and valuable guidance provided by the resource persons.

The feedback reflected increased confidence among faculty members to mentor aspiring entrepreneurs and contribute to strengthening the University's entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The successful completion of the programme marks another significant step in MUIT's commitment to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and enterprise creation through faculty development initiatives.

The programme witnessed the active participation of 22 faculty members from diverse Schools and Departments of Maharishi University of Information Technology (MUIT), Lucknow, including MSOA, MSOET, MSOPS, MSOH, MSOBM, MSOS, and MSOSOC. The diverse representation enriched discussions, encouraged interdisciplinary collaboration, and contributed to the overall success of the programme.
